About Us

Our family’s roots reach back to the small family farms of Friul Venezia Giulia – farms that provided our family a hard-working existence, and a passion for simple but really good pizza! Herbs and vegetables of every type( both fresh and preserved); homemade bread; homemade sausage/ salami/ mozzarella pizzas; homemade olive oil; homemade wine – all of these and more , are part of our family’s love affair with “la vera cucina”.

As in most immigrant families, our childhood lessons included the benefit of hard work and striving to get ahead. But when it came to food, we never cut any corners. It was (and remains) a source of family pride that at the Cortopassi’s table “si mangia sempre bene”! (One always eats well!),

This when, is the culinary legacy passed to us and that each of us is passing on to our children. As Mama Teresa always said, “To serve really good food, buy only the best ingredient and prepare them in tour own way. Every pizza is good when made with really good ingredients!” That’s why we take such a great personal bride in My Pizzeria’s total dedication to quality superiority and in our history in independent ownership by three “Real Italian” Families.

The lesson we first learned early on continue to hold true today, as our independent pizza lover  customers struggle to find quality pizza among our national fast food and mega-corporations restaurants, we came to deliver quality above all. Just like our family 60 years ago, financial success for independent pizza places today depends on hard work, striving to get ahead, and serving your patrons really good pizza! Really good Italian Pizza requires truly superior ingredients and a pizza maker that love’s pizza which is why My Pizzeria, our independent, family-owned company, continues to gain loyal customers oriented to serving really good food!
